Favorite punk bands pt2

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday break! I apologize for my inactivity last Sunday. I've been working a lot lately so my life has been pretty crazy. BUT I won't let that stop me from giving you guys my favorite punk bands pt2!


Bad Brains

Bad Brains is another band that was formed in Washington DC. I think the band is very unique in my opinion. H.R is the main vocalist that the band is most recognizable for. The band doesn't believe they are punk rock but they are classified as "reggae" - which to me doesn't really make sense because they definitely have a punk rock sound to them. The band follows the Rastafari movement. It makes sense because they use the colors red, green, and yellow a lot. I'm currently actually wearing a Bad Brains hoodie that has Rasta colors on it lol.

The Cramps

The band is said to be "rockabilly" but it's honestly too hard for me to figure out all these subcategories that are out there in the world. So to me they are punk. They band formed in 1976 and split up in 2009 once their lead sing Lux Interior died. Lux died from aortic dissection it's when your aortic gets aa tear in it and blood flows between the wall parts of the aortic and basically just forces everything apart. Sounds pretty horrible in my opinion :c

Rancid

My twin and I absolutely love this band! I think the bass lines to every Rancid song are pretty bomb! What do you guy's think about the bass lines? Way to go Matt Freeman! The band comes from California (I've heard there are a lot of fun backyard punk shows in Cali) they formed in 1991. The band has had mainly the same four members over time. Tim Armstrong (Vocals/Guitar 1991-2017), Lars Fredriksen (Guitar/ Vocals 1994-2017), Matt Freeman (Bass 1991-2017), Brett Reedman (Drums 1991-2006), Branden Steineckert (Drums 2006-2017).

Suicidal Tendencies

This is indeed a band I've gotten to see live. I know to you guys it may seem like I've been to so many concerts but I feel like I haven't been to nearly enough as I should have :( Anyways! The band formed in the 80's. The band has 12 studio albums! The band is most famous for the song institutionalized. The band is honestly just as good live as they are in a studio album in my opinion.


Misfits

The Misfits is a classic. It seems like everyone knows who the misfits are and if they don't they're just wearing the shirts to look cool lol! This band is my little sisters FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME! I saw this band back in 2015. The band is one of the MAIN punk rock bands that practically everyone knows. The band has had a few members come and go but they are still rocking. The band started in 1977 in New Jersy the band has traveled a lot and been on many tours.
