Best Cover Songs!

I get a lot of people who ask me what are some good cover songs all the time! So finally I have put together a playlist of my top favorite cover songs for you all to enjoy!


Okay, let's get to the songs :)

#1 Vader - Raining Blood (by Slayer)

 I really this version of Raining Blood because Vader totally made the song in their style of playing but also kept a Slayer feel to it!

#2 Pennywise - Stand By Me (by Ben E. King)

Personally,  love this cover because the song starts off exactly how Ben E King's sounds. But right in the middle of the song, everything turns punk rock and I absolutely love it! Pennywise turned a slow dance song into a head-banging punk rock remix!

#3 Sepultura - Symptom Of The Universe (by Black Sabbath)

Sepultura has always been one of my favorite bands along with Black Sabbath ; so when I heard this cover I absolutely fell in love!

#4 Pantera - Electric Funeral (by Black Sabbath)

Pantera is obviously one of the best metal bands known to history. This cover is completely executed to sound like it is an original Pantera song and it's amazing!

#5 Hatebreed - Ghost Of War (by Slayer)

Slayer is always a good band to cover. Hatebreed even made this cover into a music video!

#6 Gojira - Escape (by Metallica)

I have never heard of the band Gojira before but after I heard this cover it definitely made me want to look into them some more!

#7 White Zombie - Children of the Grave (by Black Sabbath)

I really wish White Zombie was still a band because they honestly were really great. But at least we have Rob Zombie.

#8 Devil Driver - Sail (by Awolnation)

Devil driver turns a popular tune "Sail" into a metal version! It's actually pretty gnarly! :)

#9 Six Feet Under - Sweet Leaf (by Black Sabbath)

This cover would have to be my ultimate FAVORITE cover in the whole WORLD! The instrumentals are something you can just chill back to and rock out. I love how Chirs Barnes (the singer) stays true to his style of singing. I first heard this song on the radio with my dad, and I instantly knew it was Six Feet Under because Chris has a very distinct sound to his vocals that no one else has. Even the instrumentals have a unique distortion sound that is used in Six Feet Under's songs. I LOVE THIS COVER! <3

Movie's With The Best Music

Who doesn't love a movie with a good soundtrack!?

Here are two of my favorite movie's that have an amazing soundtrack!

DEATHGASM!

Deathgasm is a horror comedy movie about teen maniacs who just want to jam, but thing's got a little crazy when they summoned up satanic demons through their music. They must fix what they have done and return everything back to normal again. The movie also features a lot of great bands not necessarily playing in the background but for example posters, band t-shirts, and albums. My favorite characters are Brodie and Zakk because I envy their friendship. I wish I had someone in my life who I could jam with and listen to metal all day and night long.

Here is one of my favorite songs featured in the movie called " Looking Into The Abyss" by Nunslaughter this video will also play all different songs that are in the movie.

PUNK’S DEAD SLC PUNK 2

Punk's Dead SLC Punk 2 is a movie where Penny, Ross, and Crash all go on a road trip to one of the best punk rock shows. Ross broke up with his girlfriend after he walked in on her cheating on him. Throughout the road trip, Ross finally lets go of his "Gothic outlook" and embraces life. The movie does a good job of actually representing what a real punk rock show is like.

Nile

Lately, I've been obsessed with the band Nile! My friend Elliot and I share the same taste in music and we both agree that Nile is definitely one of our top favorites. The music has a very Egyptian death metal feel to it. When I listen to the band I feel like I can make up a story of what is happening while the music is playing. Such as the song User Maat Re, during the beginning of the song there is a very calm tone in the guitar but then everything gets very dark. In this song, if you fast forward to 4:18 everything gets settle and this is when I can just picture in my head that Egyptian warriors are getting ready to battle and protect their empire.
I recommend you listen to the album "Annihilation Of The Wicked" if you have never heard any music from Nile before. This album is definitely the band that got me more into the band. 

What I Will Be Writing About From Now On..

This blog will now be about the music that I like. I feel like I have a lot of knowledge about music so I might as well just put my opinion out there. I'm mainly into Death Metal, Thrash Metal, and Punk Rock. I will be reviewing bands and showing you bands that I'm into. Also, I think I will review some of the concerts that I have been too. I possibly will do some reviews on new songs that are released and or songs that I like. So that is now what this blog is going to be about (:
