Nirvana and Danny

This week's blog post is going to be dedicated to my good friend Danny who passed away on October 30th. Danny absolutely loved Nirvana and he made me like them even more than I already did.

These are a few songs I remember him and I snap chatting each other of.

Come As You Are
Danny and Kurt Cobain were a lot alike in my opinion. They both played guitar. They both were called by things they didn't really mind - Kurt didn't mind being called "grunge" and Danny didn't mind be called "goth". They both were very funny. They both had a way for them to feel accepted in the world. They both went out like a rock star.

I painted a portrait of Kurt Cobain for Danny. I promised I would make him a really cool one so I kept my word and I left it in his casket with him. Something else I did for Danny was that I actually learned the song "All Apologies". Now you're probably going to ask why that song? I chose to learn that song because it's the last song I remember listening to with him. Even though I had to tune my guitar all funky I still did it for Danny 😂❤️

Something that Danny loved about music is that he was able to find an escape when he listened to all different bands - especially Nirvana! Now when I listen to them I feel like I'm able to connect with Danny again.
RIP Danny
